A panoramic hotel - once and today
Was the term "summer resort" born in Kohlern? Well, that doesn't really matter, because everyone leaving the sweltering heat of Bolzano in summer in the direction of Kohlern will feel revitalised after just a few minutes. This was no news to the ingenuous hotelier Josef Staffler. In 1908 he built the first suspension passenger cableway to Bolzano's local mountain, and still today one can guess from the cable car the breathtaking view to come.
